Can You See Them? A Scenario Book for the Horror RPG.

Happy Saturday, folks!

Thanks for a wonderful campaign so far! We really appreciate it.

From the beginning, we've said that this campaign would be different as we would have everything in stock and ready to go the moment the campaign ends in February. In fact, I already have all the VHS cases here and ready to go.



The bag on top are some of the test dice we purchased to go into the sets (although, those are 7-sets, so we'll be getting different dice since this is a d6 game). The plastic container has the B5 paper we'll be printing to put into the actual cases. 

As of this writing, the pins are done and the shirts are ready to go. We wrote The Diner and the Horror Core Rulebook last year, so those are good to go, too. And CYST is about 3 days away from going into proofing, which means that the PDF will be ready to issue as soon as the campaign ends. Furthermore, I should be able to estimate how many copies we'll need to print and have those orders placed, too. Our US printer tends to get us our books within 10 days of printing (might be a little slower because of the larger order), so if I can time this right, those books will show up at our fulfillment center right as the campaign pledge manager opens.

TL;DR—other than a few distant locations, everything should, in theory, be in your hands in late February to early March. 

Having said all that!

There's only 100 or so of the CYST + Horror Core VHS sets left and approximately 150 of the CYST only sets left. So if you haven't backed the campaign yet or you're not sure if you want to get those, make sure you jump on the campaign now.

The cool thing about this campaign is that, often, it feels like I'm directing a horror movie.

Originally, the plot saw the characters waking up in a storage facility without any memory of how they got there. However, we ran into a problem with that plot point.

Tom Cartos, our number-one collaborator for our fantasy stuff, has a whole series of modern maps perfect for horror. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a storage facility. Therefore, I've moved locations—to a bowling alley!



Unfortunately, fans, I want to keep the plot under wraps. Therefore, this cool image of a bowling alley is all I'm sharing right now!

Trust me, though, it's got some pretty excellent scenes set there.

Sorry I didn't post this sooner—I'm still mostly a Backerkit noob!

But we've been crushing goals all day. In fact, as of this writing, we're at 473% of our original goal, which is HUGE. 

Anyways, I won't celebrate too much, as I'm tidying up some of the graphics for the final book (I decided to toss in a pretty nifty "hex" map for it, adding to the replayability). If you haven't already, check out the poll that I posted earlier. 

Once I have an idea of what "day one" looks like, I'll start posting stretch goals for us to hit. So make sure you hit up that poll!
