Horror RPG March 2024 Variant is DONE and ready for distribution!
9 months ago – Mon, Feb 12, 2024 at 12:02:24 PM

Hey, hey, everyone!

Great news today, as the triumvirate of HORROR—Can You See Them?, The Diner, and the Horror RPG March 2024 Variant—are all complete, proofed, and on their way to the printers.

This means that the day the Pledge Manager opens, we can distribute the PDFs for you all. Then, once we collect shipping and addresses, we'll be able to distribute the non-VHS versions, too.

As far as content goes, the only things we're still working on are The Arcade and Xanthophobia. The Arcade is mostly complete, and we're just coordinating with the artists on some cool new art for it. Xanthophobia is through the outlining phase and now into drafting.

Since I plan on having both of these by the time we go to GAMA in three weeks, you can expect to see those completed relatively soon.

Anywho, we're cranking away and should have some fun stuff coming at you soon.

Have a great week!

That's a wrap! Thank you everyone!

Hey folks!

Thanks so much for everything. We didn't manage to hit our last two goals, but that's okay. We've got more fun stuff coming down the pipeline. In the meantime, pay attention here for notes on when the pledge manager opens (in 2-3 weeks) and when we'll have your stuff ready and out. I'm going to create a checklist for all of you to view and check in on so you can see the entire process.

Let us know if you have any other questions. Talk to you soon!

Just 70 minutes to go!
10 months ago – Fri, Feb 09, 2024 at 06:47:50 AM

Hey all!

Just a quick update this morning. There are only 70 minutes to go, and we've done exceptionally well. Thank you all for your support, and thanks for supporting a project that's not in the usual 5E vein. It really means a lot to me.

I won't hit you with too much more before the end of the campaign.

Once it's done, I'll give a timeline for when we expect things to happen so we've got complete transparency.

Talk to you soon!

Final 24 Hours to Get Can You See Them?
10 months ago – Thu, Feb 08, 2024 at 07:32:44 AM

Hey all!

It's the final 24 hours of the campaign and we're in awesome shape. Here's the status of everything that's coming:

  • Can You See Them? is done with proofing and the PDF is ready for beta release (basically, I put it in front of all of you to see if there are any last-minute errors). I've also sent the book off to our printer in Canada to start getting proofs made.
  • The Diner's been ready for over a year. I need to make the VHS versions of it, which shouldn't take long.
  • Horror RPG Core Rulebook's March 2024 variant is complete and in proofing. It's really, really, REALLY cool. Almost every page has a different layout, like the old mags of the '80s. It's exciting. I'll post some pics below in the backer-only area.
  • The Arcade is halfway composed and currently getting art made for it. I can't decide if I want the kids to go inside the video games or the monsters to come out of them. TBD.
  • All enamel pins for the campaign are ordered. All of them except for The Arcade are here. The Arcade will show up sometime in early March, shortly after the Pledge manager.
  • Xanthaphobia is underway. I'm building a lot of it around the actual number of people receiving copies of the uncensored version since there are going to be physical rewards tailored specifically to them. It's hard to go into too much detail without spoiling the surprise, but it's gonna be pretty rad.
  • All the T-shirts are designed and ready to be ordered.
  • Most of the supplies are ordered and ready to go for the shipments, particularly the VHS cases. We have a few hundred cluttering up my office right now.

We're super dang close to hitting the next stretch goal, which is the Sock It To Me! scenario, which will go into the back of the Horror RPG Core Rulebook. So if you want to see the goal hit, make sure to share our promotions today and early tomorrow so we can get it.

Anyways, thank you all a ton for your support. I'm very happy that Horror has been a big success since I started putting it out. It's giving me an opportunity to put to paper some nutty ideas I've had bouncing around in my noggin for the last few years. We're already planning our next "season" of Horror releases, which we should have information about soon.

If y'all need anything, be sure to hit me up here or at [email protected]

Ciao!

Less than 48s remain... this is your last chance to get Xanthophobia Uncensored Edition
10 months ago – Wed, Feb 07, 2024 at 12:16:24 PM

Hey folks!

Some fun news for all of you today. First off, Can You See Them? is finished with the primary proofing process, and it's off to the printers for us to get samples so we can take them to GAMA Expo next month and make sure the books look good. We should have those sometime around the 26th, right around the time that the Pledge Manager opens. This also means that the PDF is complete and will drop the day the Pledge Manager opens.

Secondly, we're in the final 48-hour stretch. While the Horror RPG, CYST, Arcade, Diner, and Xanthophobia Censored will continue to see the printers, Xanthophobia Uncensored will be 100% done on the 9th. The only way to get a copy after the fact is to purchase it from someone else who's bought it OR if someone purchases it and fails to give us their backer information.

The Uncensored version will only appear in physical media because a large part of what makes it different than the Censored version is that it has "easter eggs" that can't be done in PDF format. I can't say more than that without giving away the surprise for those eagerly awaiting on their copies.

Anyways! Thanks, everyone, for backing our campaign so far!

I'm very excited to announce that ALL of the original content is complete and ready to go once the shipping manager goes, with only a few things we're waiting on (namely, components to go into the VHS boxes, but those only take a few days).

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us here or at [email protected]
